An arch window can commonly be located above a door or above regular windows, and add a bit of dramatic flair to the room. Generally speaking, they are flat on the bottom and rounded on the top. But after this point, there are many differences among the arches of the window world. So here we have the most common arch window openings, their differences, and their solutions:

Eyebrow Arch

The eyebrow arch is a sleek window opening, where the height is much less than the base. The sides can either be flat, curved, or flat halfway up and then curved. Eyebrow arches generally require professional assistance when it comes to measuring. We do not make eyebrow arches.

Quarter Arch

A quarter arch is essentially an arch window that has been cut in half, or a circle divided into quarters. You typically see these above narrow windows flanking a doorway. We only make perfect half-circle arch shades, so we do not make shades for quarter arches.

Half Round

A half round arch is one that isn’t necessarily a perfect half circle, but retains a similar shape to one. The base is not exactly half the height. With any arch opening that is not a semi-circle, a template must be made. These arches are very unique and require professional measurements in order to properly suit with a cellular shade. Perfect Half Circle

A perfect half circle arch is one whose base is precisely double the height. This type of arch is relatively easy to manufacture, as no template is required.
